Within the framework of the World Cancer Day in Bishkek from January 30 to February 3, 2023 in family medicine centers № 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, Bishkek City Student Polyclinic will host a week on the detection of cervical cancer and breast cancer among women between the ages of 25 and 60.
These days, all interested women can undergo a free examination by a gynecologist, oncologist, breast examination, cervical examination, cytology, colposcopy.
The main purpose of the event is to draw public attention to the importance of early diagnosis of cancer, early treatment and prevention of cervical cancer and breast cancer, the importance of HPV vaccination of girls, in order to prevent the occurrence of these diseases.
About 5.5 thousand new cases of cancer are registered annually in Kyrgyzstan alone.
Kyrgyzstan ranks first among Central Asian countries in terms of mortality from these diseases.
The organizers of this action are the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, RCUZiMK, GUZ of the Bishkek City Hall, with the support of WHO and UNFPA.
