Dear citizens! We have great news. The city hall of Bishkek together with the Public Foundation “Institute of Environmental Solutions” are launching the “Taza Aba” project. 

The goal of the environmental project is to understand what air the citizens breathe.

According to preliminary data, on November 24, the capital exceeded last year's indicators for atmospheric air pollution by 35-50%. And in order to understand what is happening to the air, we will install 39 devices. This is the minimum number of sensors combined into one network, which will allow you to see the complete picture in the Bishkek agglomeration. All data will be collected in an open environmental database and will be accessible to all.

It is important to note that the installation of sensors is free, no som was allocated from the city budget.

Dear citizens! If you want to install such a sensor in your home, you need to live in the area marked on the map with a green circle. (Download here: http://namba.kg/ # !/files/download/ 186623002). The closer your place of residence is to the center of the green circle, the better. If you have access to WiFi and electricity (220V) then you have to write to Whatsapp:  0505037700 or email Info@ecology.kg. Be sure to specify the GREEN circle NUMBER next to where the sensor is intended to be installed. The name and contacts of the person you want to contact to install the sensor.

The ideal installation place is outdoors, in a place protected from precipitation and direct sunlight, as well as from smoking places, kitchen extracts and direct air pollutants. From practice, the best location is the porch of the house, an open balcony and others.

Note that the installation of counters is free. The only thing, the device must be constantly connected to electricity (220V) and Wi-Fi. The device consumes electricity worth about 10 soms per month and uses the Internet about 50 Mb per month. The project does not compensate for these costs.

How can you see the readings of the instrument?

The easiest way is to approach the device and press one button, all readings will be displayed on the monitor. If you can not approach it - you can download the application AirVisual and on the map of Bishkek find your area. Sensor readings will be displayed on the map.
