The Department of Urban Transport (DUT) of Bishkek City Hall is continuing to organize, coordinate and monitor the work of passenger transport in the capital (buses, trolley buses, minibuses) and the state and condition of the road transport infrastructure.

Despite the pandemic, the city's transportation services did not stop working on its 2020 plan.

In the past year, 13 transport and 4 pedestrian traffic lights were built, two of which are for transport and one for walkers - put into operation. Another two transport and three walking traffic lights are under construction. Tender for installation of 14 more traffic lights (11 - transport, 3 - walking), design and estimate documentation for one more transport traffic lights is being prepared.

Two bus routes №15, №71 were started in 2020.

In order to ensure the safety of citizens-passengers in public transport, video cameras were installed. Video recorders are installed in 95% of buses, 60% of trolley buses and 60% of minibuses.

Since June 1, the specialists of the CTA, trolleybus department (BTU) and the bus park ("BPMTE") in conjunction with the CSSES, the transport inspection under the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic daily check compliance with health standards, hold explanatory talks with the drivers and passengers. They drew up protocols under Articles №134, №150 and №293 for non-compliance with sanitary norms for a total amount of 740 thousand soms.
